A stranger in our midst | Gangasagar, Kolkata, West Bengal, India |
I feel alone when I see people enjoying their lives. In the crowd of millions, no-one bothers to notice me. Even though I'm a part of this society, why I always feel that I'm an unaccepted entity for this mean world. We all share same belief in God, but still people see me as an impostor, because I wear inappropriate clothes and have trident in my hand. I belong to the same community, but still, I feel alone and neglected. But, what you don't know is that. there is someone who always sees me and blesses me, and that someone never prejudices against me. Someone whom we all follow, but always ignore his teachings. Someone whom we call "God" .

Very well written Saumy..
ReplyDeleteIn the race of modernization so many people do feel that those who dedicate their time and energy in god's worship are useless and have no work to be done, that's why they do see them as unusual.
But I do tell you I have seen some persons who has everything but still left only for search of himself..
hank you so much, Anshul!
DeleteModernization is good, but making your perception about someone, who's different from others is not a right thing, I believe! Yes, if the person is an imposter and trying to deceive you with his/her tricks then its fine to make an impression about him, but it will not be right to carry the same further.
And yes, some people are leaving everything behind in search of absolute truth. Don't know how it works but it's their way of looking things ;) :)
It's an unusual perspective for sure. We tend to look upon such sadhus with distrust branding them as all as fake. But why should we judge someone else's faith and how it manifests itself?
ReplyDeleteIt's indeed a different perspective. And the bigger question is why these things matter in this society? Is it really necessary to judge someone's faith or we do it just for the sake of holding a generic perception.
DeleteThanks for stopping by and reading this post! :)
This reminds me of what my keeps telling. He thinks we aren't obliged to anybody but god. And you have portrayed that very nicely here, Saumy ๐
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your kind words, Ramya! :)
DeleteThis post invites lot of food for thought! Things have changed, times have changed! Today, most of the sadhus do everything for business and that's the reason why sometimes the genuine ones suffer!
ReplyDeleteIntriguing topic written on the prompt!
Cheers

I agree with you on the fact that most of the sadhus these days do fraudulent business in the face of religious work, and due to this sometimes those who're innocent faces the wrath of public.
DeleteThanks for stopping by and reading this post! :)
Quite a different perspective, Saumy. I'm not very religious, but I see the point that you're trying to make.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and reading this post, Sid! :)
DeleteThought provoking..agree that people these days are moving away from religion and everything related to religin..I believe its good to be modern but take your teachings and learnings along!
